Parkpop 2008 (2)

Well it took a little while since my last posting, but there were some good excuses for not posting. First there were some serious health issues in the family. I don't want to go into details about that. And work was very busy and demanding over the past weeks. All this stuff was absorbing a lot of energy and that's why I kept my weblogs over a low flame the past time.

But tonight I had some time and energy, so I decided to prepare a post with some left pics from the Parkpopfestival 2008 where we went the end of last June.

In my former post I only posted pics from the performance of the Dutch band Moke. This time pics from some other bands too. The first pic is from another Dutch band or better from two of it's members. The band is called Silkstone. When we arrived at the stage they were almost finished. We only caught their last two songs, which didn't sound too bad, but it was not enough to give an honest impression of their total performance.

The next band after Silkstone was the band Moke. Pics 2, 3 and 4 are from their performance. They gave a good energetic performance. My wife N. who never heard from them before also liked their performance.

Pics 5, 6, 7 and 8 were from the performance of Matt Bianco, a band with jazzy and latin influences who had their peak in the eighties, split up and officially got reunited in 2003. Although it was not exactly my cup of tea I must admit that the band was playing very tight and had a very good hornsection.

Pics 9 till 14 were from the performance of Monte Montgomery, which was the biggest surprise for me of the festival. It isn't the most innovative band in the world but definitely a hell of a live band. For some comment on their performance you can check my former post. Later I will make a post on my musicweblog BrownNoiseMusic with a video from his instrumental version of Jimi Hendrix' "Little Wing". Probably with some other coverversions.

The next posting will contain the last pictures from Parkpop 2008 with pics from Kula Shaker and Sheryl Crow. For now enjoy the pics below.
