40 years

Today it was the 40th wedding anniversary of my parents. They didn't want to make a big fuzz of this day. They don't like to be in the middle of the attention. So instead of a big party they took us (that's me, Noriko and my sister, brother in law and the kids) to the zoo. We had a lovely day. Here are a few pics of today.

Had a busy week. I didn't had much time to add some new pics.

Today's pics are also from last year. They were taken during a daytrip with Noriko and my mother in law to the Keukenhof, the famous flower- and bulbpark.

A fun event

Yesterday Noriko and I went to Amsterdam Pride 2005, the biggest gay event in Holland and one of the three biggest outside events of Amsterdam. It's a series of events with the boatparade through the canals of Amsterdam as one of it's highlights.

It was a great fun, extravagant and colourful event and the atmosphere was very open and friendly. A real plea for tolerance.

Next you can see a few pics that gives an impression of the day and especially the boat parade. Noriko and I took more than 400 pics together. When we still would shoot on film I guess we wouldn't took so many pictures. Here and there I might add some short comment. Here are the pics. It was not all fun. The first boat at the parade was a protest against the execution of two young gay Iranian teens a few weeks ago (see: link ) and a protest against homophobia in general.

What's next?

Had some trouble yesterday adding images but things seem to work okay today.

Haven't decided yet what kind of pics I want to add, but I guess most of them will be family/friends pics and landscape/sightseeing pics.

I'm going through my photofolders to pick out some nice ones. Later on I probably will post more in a chronological order.

I'm also working to figure things out concerning the lay-out. I'm not completely satisfied yet. So suggestions are always welcome.

Today's two pics were taken last year May 2004 during a walk with Noriko and my mother in law near Leerdam the city where my parents live.
